Notice of Annual Meeting

The KANZA Society, Inc., governing body of High Plains Public Radio, announces that its Annual Meeting will take place Saturday, July 19th at 1:00 pm at the High Plains Public Radio studios at 210 North 7th Street in Garden City, KS. All members of High Plains Public Radio are invited to attend as election of new board members will take place during this meeting. The regular board meeting will start at 11:30 am.

Current board members include Michael Ahern, Dodge City, KS; Rod Buchele, Garden City, KS; Lon Frahm, Colby, KS; Joel Herndon, Dighton, KS; Quentin Hope, Denver, CO; Wayne Hughes, Amarillo, TX; Alan Jones, Amarillo, TX; Douglas Laubach, Garden City, KS; Jessica McCallie, Perryton, TX; Pat Parke, Hays, KS; Gary Pitner, Amarillo, TX; Board members with terms or appointments ending are Rod Buchele and Lon Frahm.

Texas Director of Membership & Marketing

High Plains Public Radio (105.7) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Texas Director of Membership & Marketing.   This is a key fundraising position for the radio station, serving a five-state region including the Amarillo/Canyon metro area.

Texas Director of Membership and Marketing is responsible for increasing awareness of HPPR’s broadcast service in the Amarillo/Canyon metro area and the Texas Panhandle by working to strengthen existing donor relationships, develop new ones, and lead HPPR’s fundraising efforts in Texas. This person will be responsible for the administrative functions of the HPPR-Amarillo studios and will serve as the primary point of contact. This position also works in collaboration with HPPR staff in both the Amarillo and Garden City offices. This position may also supervise other development and volunteer staff.
